The number one cause of page crashes is too much data on one page. Whether it be images, text, links, or all of the above! It could be showing up a blank white screen, blurry/pixelated images that don't load at all, or only some of the images that you carefully curated.
It's better to be proactive with your content placement than lose data or experience a live page crash during a launch or release, etc.
Divide your content between pages, using Subpages! Subpages are versatile because they can be used for any type of product or item you want to show off
Here are some examples of how it can be applied to your site layout:
- For a clothing company, you could create pages for your different collections, and further organize them by type of clothing, like Tops, Bottoms, Accessories, etc.
- For a music artist, you can create one Page dedicated to an album or release- use the Subpages for lyrics, writing and production credits, and Purchase links.
The options are endless!
You can learn how to add Subpages here: How to Create a Subpage
If you're editing a heavy photo content page, we suggest trying to use an iPad or Apple computer instead of your mobile device for better responsiveness
