Hi y'all, just finished talking with support and it was suggested that I bring my concern here.
I would love to see a system which would allow us to send orders from our sites to our print on demand providers directly.
Specifically, I wanted to hook up the service which creates my gallery prints so that I could run my store through universe instead of setting up a Squarespace store, because I much prefer universe for everything else.
At the very least, allowing us to use public API on our sites would allow the more web savvy of us to set up our stores in the meantime.
Thanks for dropping this suggestion! We're always looking for ways to make Universe commerce tools more powerful and helpful. I'd love to understand more what you had in mind here. Is there a provider or service that you think would be particularly powerful for us to integrate with?
The services I personally would like to see integrated would be printify and creativehub.io
These are both services that allow designers to dropship their work, which is in like with the creative focus of universe.
I was trying to use creativehub.io personally to sell gallery quality prints of my artwork, as my universe website is a portfolio and store for my art and art related products.
I could also see this being done through a back end code block similar to the existing front end code block available in the editor.
